The Story: Cornwall is increasingly turning purple during early summer, as farmers grow Phacelia to add nutrients back into the soil. The result is fields and fields of this beautiful deep purple colour.

I had it in mind to take this shot at dawn. I literally had minutes after the sun rose to take this shot before the sun disappeared behind the clouds.

I love the dawn light shining under the moody sky - it gives real atmosphere to the picture!
