The Story: This was supposed to be a picture of a July sunset ~ but as is often the way with aerial photography ~ sometimes the unexpected happens!

While the sun was setting, Perranporth beach remained in shadow. When I looked in the other direct, however, the Golf Course was spectacularly illuminated!

I quickly composed this shot to try and show the paths running through the course, and with the view to Penhale in the background.

I love the colours of the dunes in this picture - which partly resulted from the heatwave conditions of July 2022.
