Prints

How are prints sized?

For framed and mounted prints: Size indicates the dimensions of the image and mount, excluding frame. Mount size is proportionate to glass size (mount sizes are: 12"x16" and above = 2"; 11"x15" and below = 1.5"; and 10"x10" and below = 1"). For example, a mounted 20"x24" picture will contain a 16"x20" print with a 2" mount around it.

For metallic panoramas: size indicates the size of the entire picture (the image size), as it is printed right up to the edge of the dibond (there is no boarder around the edge).

 

Why are different prints available in different sizes?

The sizes that a picture is available in depends upon the resolution of the image, and the aspect ratio. Not all pictures are available in all sizes. We work hard to make sure that images are available tin sizes that work for the image, and ensure that it remains a quality print.

 

Where are pictures printed and framed?

Pictures are printed and/or hand framed at your closest print laboratory. This could be within the UK, EU, USA, Australia or New Zealand depending upon where in the world you are ordering from.

 

How do I hang my picture?

Framed and mounted prints are delivered ready to hang, which means that they have built-in picture hooks attached to the back of the frame.

 

Panoramas

What are panoramas made from?

Panoramas are printed on 3mm dibond, which is a composite of two sheets or aluminum with a plastic core.

 

How do I hang my panorama?

Metallic panoramas are supplied with a magnetic fixing system. This consists of 2 or 3 (depending upon the size of the panorama) magnets with holes in to be screwed to the wall. The picture is then held up to the wall by magnetism.

How long will more order take to arrive?

UK Customers: please allow 5 working days for your order to be delivered. Rest of World: please allow 10 working days for your order to be delivered.

 

Do you offer a local collection service?

All pictures are made to order by our suppliers and shipped straight from them to you. For this reason we cannot offer a local collection service.

 

Damaged Goods

My picture have been delivered damaged, what should I do?

Despite the best packaging, pictures are occasionally damaged while being shipped and delivered. If your picture is delivered damaged, then please photograph the damage and send the pictures to hello@perransabove.co.uk so that we can organise a replacement to be sent to you.
